PHYSICAL ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT FOR SENIORS

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

ENHANCEFITNESS IS AN EVIDENCE-BASED GROUP EXERCISE PROGRAM FOR OLDER ADULTS THAT USES SIMPLE, EASY-TO-LEARN MOVEMENTS THAT MOTIVATE INDIVIDUALS (PARTICULARLY THOSE WITH ARTHRITIS) TO STAY ACTIVE THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE. EACH CLASS SESSION INCLUDES CARDIOVASCULAR, STRENGTH TRAINING, BALANCE, AND FLEXIBILITY EXERCISES AND THE FOSTERING OF STRONG SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PARTICIPANTS.
ENHANCEFITNESS IS A 16 WEEK PROGRAM, 3X PER WEEK EXERCISE BASED PROGRAM FOR OLDER ADULTS THAT FOCUSES ON ARTHRITIS MANAGEMENT AND FALL PREVENTION.

COST

THERE IS NO COST TO FIRST TIME PARTICIPANTS. REPEAT PARTICIPANTS THAT ARE NOT YMCA MEMBERS WILL BE CHARGED A $25 FEE.  COSTS ASSOCIATED FOR THE PROGRAM ARE BEING COVERED BY A THREE YEAR SPONSORSHIP FROM ST. VINCENT HOSPITALS OF MADISON COUNTY!
